RESONANCES AND VIBRATIONS

Living between Brittany and Chili, I discovered a wide palette of organic impressions, rich in raw materials and yet subtle at the same time. A self-taught painter, I am nourished through contemplation.
Now, I have settled down with my brushes in a corner of Belleville, a small Parisian nugget of a neighborhood, animated by a wide array of international origins.
My research is oriented around vibrations and resonances.
Acrylics, inks, pastels and charcoals intersect and collide freely in my work.

ENERGY

Nature is a infinite source of inspiration, a mystery of perfection.
Powerful and delicate, luxurious and arid, amusing and creative,
she is poetry in its purest state.
I dive into a mist or a path by chance, absorbing the echo of the foliage, the vibrations in the atmosphere.
Then, in front of a blank canvas I come back to the present moment,to meet the invisible.

Humans, in their profuse diversity, endlessly surprise me.
My portraits are born from sketches taken from life, on the spot. A notebook, a metro trip…
The opportunity to spontaneously catch an expression, a story, a landscape on a face.
To go to what is essential in a portrait, to capture its essence.
To bring it back to the studio and reinvent it. A blend of forms and a search for identity.

Between heaven and earth, spots thrown by chance across the paper unfurl their wings.
Accidents are opportunities for travel and for opening.
I invite myself to provoke them, to leave the nest of certainties, to let poetry take over the painting and fly me toward the day’s mood, opening the space…
